The BeScaled project, launched in May 2025, is taking part in the Nordeep event at the beginning of October. The project aims to help 25 startups pivot to the defence and security sector over the next three years with the help of a six-stage preparatory accelerator programme. A total of 40 startups will be selected for the pre-accelerator implemented by the BeScaled project. The pre-accelerator consists of onboarding and advisory services, as well as training and coaching focusing on the business model and product development. The project strengthens cooperation between the City of Riihimäki and Häme University of Applied Sciences. Through the project, cooperation is also carried out with South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, Tallinn University and Tartu Science Park. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
