This privacy policy describes how the DEFINE website (Defence Innovation Network Finland) processes personal data. The network’s activities are coordinated by the City of Riihimäki.

What data we process

The website does not require registration and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The following data may be processed:

  • Technical log data. The web host automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, time of visit and browser type) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Site preferences. Your language (FI/EN) and theme (light/dark) choices are stored only in your own browser’s local storage. They are not transmitted to us and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
  • Contact by e-mail. If you contact us by e-mail, we process the information you provide in order to respond to you.

Retention and disclosure

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and is not disclosed to third parties or transferred outside the EU/EEA, except where required by law.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access the data concerning you, to request rectification or erasure, and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
