The 12 companies of the DEFINE accelerator solving hard problems in defence and deep tech

12 defence and dual-use technology companies from Finland, Sweden and Germany have been selected from among 57 applicants from 13 countries. The founders of the selected companies are building resilient UAVs, AI-powered infrastructure monitoring, advanced energy grids and secure communications. They are making military operations smarter, sound-based surveillance better and remote energy possible. Together we are building what Europe needs most.

Viima Aerospace Technologies

Viima Aerospace Technologies develops resilient UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) manufacturing methods. Viima uniquely combines a modular UAV platform with distributed, crowdsourced manufacturing. This enables immediate production scale-up without major investments, while preserving Western independence. The platform covers 90% of defence UAV needs with standardised components that can be produced locally for rapid iteration and crisis resilience.

ReLoc

ReLoc develops positioning, navigation and timing solutions that withstand GNSS jamming and spoofing. Thanks to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, their solutions are easy to integrate, repair and replace. With unique sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms, they ensure reliable positioning while providing real-time GNSS jamming and spoofing alerts.
